Fermentation went by rather smoothly this year. Our red fruit was as ripe as we've ever harvested. Brix into the mid-20s are hard to come by! In case you were wondering, brix is a measurement of solids in the grape juice and is a direct indicator of sugar levels. Higher sugar levels and great acids this year ought to yield some delightful wine!
Although we've been out of Riesling for a few weeks, don't despair! More will be bottled in the very near future. As soon as we are ready to release it, we'll post notice here and send an e-mail to our e-mail list. If you don't receive our occasional newsletter and would like to, just click the top of the page to go to our homepage and add yourself. Look for the link on the right side of the page.
Our November wine dinner was postponed but we will be putting one on in December. Details will be forthcoming soon.
Cheers!
